At the closing of my study abroad experience in Costa Rica, I can definitely say that I have enjoyed my time away.  After nine whole weeks I have learned a lot about myself, the others around me, and my surrounding environments.  Symposium went GREAT.  Everyone had nothing but good things to say about my presentation.  I delivered my research efficiently and professionally and I am so proud of myself.  After suggestions from my onsite advisor as well as Dr. Tekle, I was able to make the necessary changes to my research manuscript and I am much happier with my second submission.

Overall, I learned the value of operational machinery. Yes, I’m grateful for the opportunity to have learned what techniques this lab used, but it would have been nice to have used the proper machine to have a more robust understanding of the product I was intended to make.
