So I have arrived in Copenhagen! I arrived on a beautiful sunny day. Everything looked like it was shaping up to be great even though I was super jetlagged. Then I realized that one of my bags hadn’t made it with me and I was devastated because it was the bag with all my toiletries and my food. I then had to wait in a line to speak to the airlines about my bag, and they told me that it was overweight so it would take a little longer for it to get delivered. Then they asked me for my Danish phone number but I didn’t have one so I had to figure out how they could contact me. Eventually I got it all figured out.

When I arrived at the DIS meeting spot I realized that my folkhøjskole was a lot farther from Copenhagen than I thought. We drove for a little over an hour to a town called Helsingør. It’s a beautiful town on the beach. When we got to the Højskole I was surprised to see so many international students. Most Højskoles in Denmark are mostly Danish, in fact they typically have a quota that the school must be at least 65% Danish. My Højskole however, is special. The International People’s College was created to be an International højskole. There are students here from all over the world, it’s amazing!
